Messages

Messages is the clinician inbox for patient communication. It lets you view conversations, send replies, use quick responses, and access patient details while staying inside the communication workflow.

What you can do on this page

  • View message threads
  • Search for a patient conversation
  • Open a patient chat
  • Send a message
  • Use quick replies
  • Add a new note from the conversation view
  • View patient details
  • Mark messages as unread
  • Send a broadcast message

How it works

The page is split into two main areas: a conversation list on the left and the active thread on the right. System messages and patient messages appear inline in the conversation. The message composer at the bottom supports text entry and quick response shortcuts.

Step by step

  1. Open Messages from the left navigation.
  2. Use Search to find a patient conversation.
  3. Select a conversation from the list on the left.
  4. Review the thread on the right.
  5. Enter your reply in the message field at the bottom.
  6. Use a quick reply if one matches your response.
  7. Send the message using the send button.
  8. Use Details if you need patient context while messaging.
  9. Use New note if you need to document something during or after the conversation.

Tips

  • Quick replies can help keep routine communication fast and consistent.
  • Use the thread view to catch system-generated updates, not just patient messages.
  • Mark a message as unread if you need to come back to it later.

Notes

Broadcast messaging appears to be available from the top-right of the page.
