How to invite a patient for RTM or HEP
Use the Invitations page to invite a new patient into Joint Academy. During the invitation workflow, you can select the treatment type that fits the patient’s program.
When to use this
Use this workflow when:
- you are adding a new patient to the platform
- a patient is ready to begin treatment
- you need to re-engage a patient through a new onboarding flow
What you can do in this workflow
- send a new invitation
- choose treatment area
- select RTM or HEP
- review active invitations
- resend an invitation if needed
How it works
The Invitations page has two sections:
- Active invitations on the left
- Invite patient form on the right
After you send an invitation, the patient appears in the active invitations list until they begin treatment.
Step by step
- Open Invitations from the left navigation.
- In the Invite patient panel, enter the patient’s first and last name.
- Select the patient’s gender.
- Enter the patient’s email address.
- Enter the patient’s phone number.
- Select the appropriate Treatment Area.
- Under Treatment Type, choose either RTM or HEP.
- Review the information for accuracy.
- Select Invite patient.
- Check the Active invitations table to confirm the patient appears in the list.
RTM vs HEP
Use the treatment type that matches the intended care workflow:
- RTM is typically used when the patient will be managed within a remote therapeutic monitoring workflow.
- HEP is typically used when the patient will receive a home exercise program without the same RTM-specific workflow.
Tips
- Double-check the phone number and email before sending the invitation.
- Make sure the treatment area is correct, since it will affect the patient’s setup.
- Review active invitations regularly and resend when appropriate.
